Leaderboard July 2020 Voting
Welcome to the vote for the games we will be playing in July 2020. Just want to say a quick thanks to everyone who has taken part so far. The more the merrier. Some of you know the drill already. For anyone new, the general idea here is to enjoy a couple of games over a month, either by competing for score or seeing if we can finish the game or both. All the while exchanging a few tips and maybe learning something new. If you just want to come chat about one of the games that's cool too. You can vote for any Amiga game you like. So give us something fun to play together. This vote ends at 23:59 (UK Time) on Saturday 20th June 2020. How to vote:
The previous 40 games played cannot be voted for: Jun 2020: Paperboy Jun 2020: Myth: History in the Making |

Just a reminder, at the moment it is very easy to influence the outcome of this.
Couple of days left to vote. |

Results time.
Gods took the top spot. For second place there was a big tie. The game that receives its points first is normally declared the winner. Linesmachine's vote put three games into the tie before the others, and he got to choose which one went through. No surprises then. 30 Gods 20 World Class Leader Board 20 Harlequin 20 Magic Pockets 20 Wonderboy in Monsterland 20 Xenon II - Megablast Gods Looks like a straightforward high score. No options to choose. World Class Leader Board Another best score game. Would I be right in saying a course takes about an hour play? Two courses would be okay then? Professional difficulty seems to makes sense otherwise there is no wind, which wouldn't feel right. I don't think there is any way to consider this game 'beat', so it's probably simplest to drop that badge for this game. Anyone want to recommend two courses to play? Happy to do something from the data disks if that's of interest? |

Just loaded both up to make sure that they both work ok
I've not played Leaderboard for years so it should be interesting, more of a links fan back in the day tbh. Maybe a course with lots of water and one without? |

Can I recommend St Andrews and Cypress Creek? I think it pertinent that the Leaderboard competition plays Leaderboard in it's first few rounds. I think you'll find that each hole will take less than a hour, so 2 holes is perfect. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I had a little look and think it would be nice to try something from the extra courses. Westchester CC looks like a balanced course, a few tricky bits but easier than most. Muirfield Village will be a bit more challenging but nothing crazy, with a bit of water in there.
They are both on the first Extra Courses data disk, and on the WHDload second disk, if someone wants to check them out. edit: I've not played either before, fyi Last edited by Biscuit; 24 June 2020 at 19:53. |
