Got both of those, and had no idea I own them... which is normal in past couple of years...

First saw DE pages and wonder how come I missed this cool games and later realizing that I actually own them... that is bit disappointing...

It's just a tease before they release this one: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1...itive_Edition/

A remaster of a game that greatly outranked games of that era (GTA3) but needed a beefy computer so I personally never played it...

How much did you pay for that, if you don't mind me asking?? It appears to be 15 bucks - 10% - 13.50 USD.

Got copy from Gamesplanet UK for 8 USD. Same game on Gamesplanet USA costed 13.50 with 10% discount?!

This is strange...

Its a trap. They can give the base game away for free, but just like Civ 5 you get a very incomplete game and will need to buy DLC to make it the full experience. Which is questionable at best, because for every nice feature a DLC adds, it also adds one you may completely hate depending on how you play the game.

Has anyone tried buying one of these afterwards? Do you still get the definitive edition?

Got Maffia II already, but if I can add 3 for cheap and get the definitive edtion as well that would be great.

IIRC, you had to exit steam and relog in order to get definitive edition if you purchase original, but again, not sure if there was time limit in place.

I just brought a key for Mafia 3 and it gave me the definitive edition.

So, I've brought the original on steam, just in case I get the free upgrade.

I wouldn't count on it.

Changing a few options in the engine to make it work slightly better on modern hardware "out of the box" or combining shitty DLC into the main - also shitty - game that nobody cares about is one thing, remaking everything in a cult classic is another.
