I agree with steve, use winuae to mount your CF and copy all games across that way. One tip, is make sure you set buffers to 1000 or 2000 using; addbuffers DH0: 1000 or addbuffers DH0: 2000 Do that to all drives you are using or you will be there for a whole day copying all WHDLoad games to HDD. |

When you say "addbuffers DH0: 1000 or addbuffers DH0: 2000" I have mine set at 100 at the moment so I take it I change this to 2000 and leave it set at that even when I pluf the CF back in to the Amiga?
Also will there be any disadvantage to this when the CF is on the Amiga? Thanks again |

Ok so I decided to transfer some WHDload packs today starting with demo's
I plugged 4GB CF card back in to PC and fired up WinUAE, opened shell and "typed addbuffers DH0: 2000" did the same for DH1 and DH2 but message popped up informing me I had 2100 buffers (this happened on all drives) I then followed the guide Steve posted http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/tutorials.htm But every time I copy Demos from DH0: to DH1: I get a Software Error 8000 0003 and reboot. I've also tried this by dragging Demo's in to DH1: in workbench and the same thing happens! Nothing gets copied btw accept for demo.info Any Ideas? EDIT: Okay, I've worked it out now, Had to 0 the Z3 Fast Ram Last edited by prowler; 02 January 2012 at 18:29. Reason: Back-to-back posts merged; please use the Edit button. |

How I copied System from HDF to my Real HD for my stock A1200,Used Dopus to do it put System from HDF in the left and DH0 in the right, then click on left and then All then Copy and it starts copying to DH0....Done..
Its doing it right now...Copying that is.. Oh and if you want to format the HD before you copy the system files over just boot up Workbench 3.1 ADF in WinUAE then you woun't have any problem copying the files over.. Dopus is in (HDF file)System>Programs>DirectoryOpus4 It can't copy files if its using them.. Just noticed this is 4 months old but it might help someone out there..
