Did a quick test run. It took some time to figure out how to play. The game is about to solve slide puzzles. First you collect pieces and arrows. Then when you have all the pieces you need press SPACE to make the puzzle. Think there are 12 puzzles (checked disk from WB), and there is only one background. A longplay of this would not be very exciting. But will do one anyway edit: in earlier versions of TOSEC they was listed as PD games. I also see that Watch Your Time is missing in HOL. Noticed that there are two exits. One near the exit signs and one by using the elevator down in the right corner of the map. There are no ending message/screen so you get the same error message as when you lost your lives or quit the game by pressing the left mouse button (demo failed returncode 57388). |

No differences here. I used the "exit signs" exit (see longplay) and it fades out the same way as using the elevator shaft.

OK. Could be warp and maybe JIT were in effect. Tried again with a savestate and it fades too at normal speed. I still say the shaft is it because there is no return once elevator starts. There is still unexplored area when exit signs are reached.

Not the most exciting games played in October:
Have practiced Ranx now so will probably do a longplay soon. The longplay of the Atari-ST on YouTube is a full playthrough, but is useless since it is played with trainer. He starts with 9999 money and energy. So he can buy everything right away. And he does not show how to get energy and stuff. So had to figure out a lot myself. The only difference between the Amiga and Atari-ST version is that the Amiga version has more sounds? |

I have completed Ranx some years ago. As far as I can remember you can restore Energy with traffic lights or lantern.

Well done on completing Ranx! I actually figured that out about the traffic lights, but forgot to reply. Have still not made a longplay though. Another problem with this game is that if you do a mistake in the beginning (like killing the wrong guy), then the game cannot be completed.
November was a month with many sokoban, arkanoid and worms games. Games that does not interest most people

Thank you for the updates. About Ranx, as far as I remember you have to heal the president from Psychopest and therefore you have to do some things in the right order. I had to start the game several times before I reached that goal. Good luck!

The longlays recorded in December:
.. 2017 was yet another successful year: - Recorded more than 85% of all new Amiga longplays on YouTube! (most others recording the same games over and over again) - Recorded more than 100 longplays - ALL TOP QUALITY - ONLY AMIGA - ALL NEVER RECORDED BY ANYONE! - Supported more than 30 Amiga developers (donations from money made on YouTube) - Produced more than 10,000 screenshots for HOL and Lemon Amiga! Thanks to all who have helped and supported me in any way! (suggested games, fixed broken games/disks, produced gamesmaps etc). You might think play games is the only thing I do in my life. Well, I spend a lot of time recording these games. But I actually have a social life and a full-time work Next year will be a different though: All my videos recorded from 2005-2013 will be removed from YouTube. There are many reasons for this. First, I don't want them on the Cubex55/World of Longplays channel (don't even ask). Second, I want to replay some of my videos because they are in poor quality. Some of the very early ones is even in 240p (YouTube did not have better at that time). Most of these games I played has still not been recorded by anyone (80% or so). I really hate play games that I have already recorded, so think I will do most new stuff and replay some of my older stuff now and then. Replay games also means I can produce thousands of more screenshots for HOL and Lemon Amiga. Another good reason to replay! I'm also hoping to get my new Amiga longplay site up in next year. There are quite a lot work on this, so don't know where to start. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Last edited by hipoonios; 01 January 2018 at 10:47. |
