Throw In : a KO2 tribute

I just found this board and i cannot believe to my eyes! It's really great!
Throw In is a game that will be a tribute to the best game ever, Kick Off 2. It is developed by Gianluca Troiano (me) , the 2003 Kick Off 2 World Champion. Throw In will reproduce the classic gameplay of Kick Off 2 and is designed to offer fast action with responsive controls. You can do anything on the pitch with just a single fire button.

Throw In is currently in the final beta state. Gianluca will happily accept any comments and help for his game. If you are willing to help, you can visit the Kick Off Gathering Forums and go to the Throw In section. Watch this space for updates, pictures and demos of Throw In

i put some pictures:

You can download the first official trailer here:
Trailer - High Quality (31mb)

Trailer - Low Quality (2.6mb)

both files require DivX codec

There are a few

Unforunately arguments usually break out over another famous Amiga footy game, so maybe they are keeping quiet

Missed this thread the first time. It looks very cool! I will be interested to see how the 3D effects the visuals... (I can't look at the trailers right now)

the camera is a top down view so there is no gameplay problem with the 3d engine.

It seems you didn't watch the trailer, most of the features are shown there!
it will add many things like as 3dengine, directional slides, directional headers, intuitive manual passing, offside and new rules, online gaming, carrer mode , dynamic weather (the first game ever where weather and pitch conditions are dynamic for "real"), different cameras, an alternative easier and more intuitive controls for people that can't play with an old style joystick (or for people that find difficult KickOff-like controls) , innovative tactical part...

Why do all amateur 3D productions look like blurry shit? is it a fault of the 3D cards (I doubt it), or a severe obsession with stupid interpolation filters? Or is it badly made textures?

Actually, it's not blury. Once you see this on your screen, it is fine. All you need is a good arcade joystick plugged in your PC...

thre are no filters and the game is not blurry.
If you don't like the gfx it's only my fault with my stupid texture shit.
I apologize.

I looked at the videos last night, it looks really very cool. Do you have any particular timeframe in mind for its release? Also, perhaps after it matures a bit, is there any plans to use it in competitions?
