HOWTO: add software to AMIX in WinUAE post-install

Since the ftp client in AMIX isn't able to do passive ftp transactions, it won't work with SliRP in WinUAE. So the easy way to get data of any kind into AMIX is to make a tarball of all the files you want in some other OS, then attach that tarball as a hardfile to WinUAE as a SCSI drive on slot 0,1,2,3 or 5. Boot AMIX and then all you need to do if the drive is on slot 5 is this :

Code:
tar xvphf /dev/dsk/c5d0s0
or

Code:
tar xvphf /dev/dsk/c5d0s1
depending on how AMIX feels like dealing with that device... Usually the first command succeeds. This way you can import wget and download whatever you need off a local http server.
