@Peter
You're welcome. Just sorry that I couldn't get it down to a reasonable file size for you. Dave G |

It's gradually coming together - there are lots more I would love to get though...
The replacement DPaint IV Advanced video has uploaded. Guys, can one of you please delete the version on the server (DeluxePaint_IV_Advanced) and replace it with this new one (DelulxePaint_IV_Advanced_2) then just rename it by taking the _2 off the end. This video is of much better quality. I would really recommend watching this - it's really good! |

Today I have uploaded the "Domark 3D Construction Kit Tutorial Video"
Again, only a short video but a real bonus if you fancy trying out the software which looks fun. Can someone move the Video to the correct area please (Thanks) 10 Videos now but we need more - please help! |

I have uploaded a very short video (under 15 mins!) it is a Roctec Rockey RG320C Chroma Key Video Tutorial - this video was included with the device when it was sold.
Although short it does still give a good overview of the device's capabilities. Genlocking and Chroma keying look like fun things to try - must buy an old video camera one of these days! Can the Video be moved to the correct area please - thanks! |

thank you for the videos. that is something we must preserve too.
but you should use handbreak, encoding into x264 / mp4. the encoder is blazing fast and the quality is excellent. i converted the rocktec video, using "normal" preset for video and audio "auto-passhtru". size reduced from 716mb to 239mb. from what i can say, while comparing both, the quality did not reduce. |

handbreak sometimes starts with an error message, you can click-away the requester (or restart handbreak, if it quits, requester does not come back - cannot recall exactly).
choose "source -> file", leave "video preset -> normal", goto "audio" and change "aac" into " auto passthru" if the audio source is already encoded, otherwise go with the default value. you may change "dolby pro logic II" into "stereo, for those old tapes. now you can make a "preview" . then just press "start". i'm sure you'll like it |

Once we have got a few more videos I am hoping that CIA (as discussed) will want to host them with a nice front page set up etc... so the mp4 smaller format may suit their site better - food for thought for the new year... in the meantime I will definitely have a play.

@DH or TCD - just in case this gets overlooked, can you still move the latest Video to the Misc/Vids folder until I have a chance to play with handbreak, cheers. |

I have found a couple of short Videos on-line, the Showmaker Demo and a Promotional A500 Video from 1987 - both of these are all over the net but I thought I would grab them both for our project here. They are both in MP4 format and the latest DivX Player plays them fine.
They are both worth a watch but they are only short. Can you move them over for me please - Thanks |
