Getting sent PMs automatically CC'ed to email?
A suggestion for the forum private messaging system. Add an option to have a copy of messages the user sends sent to their email.

If that option were available to members and used by them, then senders' PM tracking would no longer be reliable.

I'm not sure I follow, could you explain why that is? Do you mean senders being able to see whether PMs they have sent have been read by the recipient?

Yes. If I were to send you a PM and you had the CC to email option checked, then I would not be reliably informed whether you had read my message or not until you had opened the PM from within your EAB account.

Ah right. However I was just talking about messages that I send to other users, not received messages. I'd like messages that I send to automatically be cc'ed to my email. So I could clear out my PM sent messages folder, but still have a record of messages that I sent.

You can download your sent (or received) messages as a textfile from your user PM. This is what I always do when I reach the limits.
