Question Config for Walker? (DMA Design)

Hi all. I've been trying to get the Tosec 1993 FLT t+3 cracked version of Walker up & running without any luck so far.
Currently trying WinUAE 0822r5, & tried ECS13,ECS20,& AGA 31.

The closest came with the AGA 31. Although all the configs load through the trainer options to the Title screen, the problem always occurs after pressing fire to start loading the 1st level. After the requester for disk 3 appears & successfully swapping, it always seems to hang, with the disk reading through & swapping between sector 40 thru to 11 & back again, with the swirling vector wireframe "loading" message going around & around & around.....(Sorry,seen it waaay to many times! )

Any thoughts?

I had a similar problem with my copy. The culprit was Floppy Speed being set to turbo. Once I took it off it was able to get past track 40.

I don't think it's that simple. I tried the +3 FLT crack with Floppy Speed set to 100% Compatible and wasn't able to get past the loading screen. Using the same config (and WinUAE version) I tried the +18 FLT crack and the game loaded without any problems at all.

Just to be sure, I used Walker (1993)(Psygnosis)[cr FLT][t +3 AF](Disk 1 of 3) together with Walker (1993)(Psygnosis)[cr FLT](Disk 2 of 3), and this combination also turned out to work.

Looks like Walker (1993)(Psygnosis)[cr FLT][t +3 AF](Disk 2 of 3) has some kind of problem.

Cool, you're right. There is something definitely wrong with the Walker (1993)(Psygnosis)[cr FLT][t +3 AF](Disk 1 of 2) dump. I ran that image through disksalv in an attempt to repair it. It seems to load level one now, but who knows if any of the files are still corrupt.

edit:should be disk 2 of 3. thanks andreas

Just a bad disk 2 (as named in Walker's post above). It simply needs a [B] flag in its TOSEC name and all should be in order.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the prompt replies guys,& pinpointing the problem in particular Walker, great work. Unfortunately,I haven't been able to test it yet, a certain generous EAB person's FTP is currently down by the looks of it. If anyone possibly has the alternate working Tosec ADF disk 2 that Walker mentioned handy could they possibly upload it to Zone?

Anyone know if Disk 3 is similarly affected or is it just disk 2?

Hehe, two times 'possibly'.

You could possibly check the zone. (three times)

I knew it was only a matter of time before Walker and Walker crossed over.
