It's A Dongle, But Which Dongle?

I would say my friend that this is infact a RS232 Serial LOOP test dongle

Only I found it hanging out of an Amiga 1000 joystick port, I know, details, details

Scala / InfoChannel used a mouse port dongle, as did a few other things... But the ones I know didn't look like that

The dongle Scala used was red and nowhere as big as the one in the pictures if I remember correctly.

What about opening the case to show the guts? Easier than guessing WTF this is showing just the 9-pin female socket (Amiga mouse/joystick port pluggable).

The problem is, I can see from the edges of the case, it's full of resin, otherwise I would have done just that.

Robocop3 uses a joystick dongle too - but it's not from that either.
