Kind of bloop: Chiptune Album
Not seen a mention of this on here yet.
I read about this album in the paper this morning, a kind of retro-remake of Miles Davis' album Kind of Blue... Bit more info here: http://www.popsci.com/entertainment-...-systems?page= Quote:

OK, at the risk of sounding cranky here:
Somebody gets people to "donate" thousands of dollars, creates 8-bit musak, and then turns around and sells it. The whole web is abuzz with this album right now. Marketing genuis? You bet. Creative genius? Not so much. I love Miles Davis and I love chiptunes, but the hype about this is unwarranted. I've heard the album and am not that impressed- we (C64&Amiga people, as well as other chiptuners) have been doing this sort of thing for years. |

Well I wasn't praising it or belittling it, I was just delivering the news
I've not heard it! |
