Kixx versions of some LucasArts adventures
Does anybody happen to have good ADFs of Kixx budget versions of LucasArts titles like Loom, Zak McKracken, Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island 2, both Indy titles et al?
I'm keen on seeing if Kixx disabled the protection on all of them - they'd make good clean HDFs for one thing (I've already done this with Secret of Monkey Island - of which I've got the Kixx disks of on my webspace, so I'm at least starting somewhere!). |

I don't have to use WHDLoad all the time for everything! Geez.
And it's just I thought budget versions would be nicer to play about with than dodgy third-party cracks if you ask me! |

Why do you keep requesting such random stuff when you clearly don't need it? |

Maybe because I'm a collector, just like a good deal of people on here? I also want to be able to be a bit like you and house some rare Amiga goodies for public download. Anything too common doesn't get a look in and all that!

Let me rephrase that:
We both know by now that whdload doesn't use any dodgy cracks so this doesn't wash either. *cough* pedant *cough* |

Well, thanks to DamienD we know that the crack used in Defender of the Crown is indeed dodgy.
Anyway, off to bed now, that's enough stirring for one day. |

no it's not dodgy, it's just not the one that contains the cheat mode.

I just wish I wouldn't get so much flak every time I post in this requests forum. It's a bit much. All I seek is help, guys, not criticism.

I for one would also be interested in these versions. They would be perfect for my CD32/CDTV adventure compilation! Since the CD32 has limited memory you're better off NOT using WHDLoad if you can, and since this compilation of mine is supposed to run from a Workbench environment I've noticed that some cracked versions were just not "meant" to be ran from Workbench resulting in me being forced to use uncracked ones. If I could use official versions with the protections removed it would make things a lot easier. So, is that reason enough to request these versions? |

I reckon so! Of course it would've been nice if some of these versions were SPS'd but it appears the team haven't managed to receive copies so far. I've spotted a couple of Kixx MI2s on eBay though.

Rest assured if all amiga sites and files dissapeared for unknown reasons ...methodgit has 100% backups of everything and every amiga file that ever existed
