I think those things in the floor are "Spinners". I think all they do is when you walk over them they rotate you to another angle. (To confuse you)

I am at work now so I cant look at my notes, but I'll send you the whole section of how to complete the Alchemist's tower. If you cannot complete it with my notes you ARE too dumb for RPG's

Well, I'm still stuck..
so would you help me now, then..?

-I thought those spikes are to confuse, too. But I don't understand what teleporters you are talking about ?! But I first thought that maybe sphere of opening must be somehow used with them... so I was wwrong.
Once more I searched the crypt, to no avail.
Sure, I've found the coffins, crosses etc. and killed some zombies 8or were they skeletons ?)
Nelvin told he didn't like some crosses, and I straightened them. But they can't be moved anymore.

To the far north there are two switches that activate two teleporters in the central room.

Enter one of the teleporters and get transported to a corridor. Follow it and find a wall switch you should press. Return to the central room by another teleporter at the end of the corridor. For completeness' sake you may want to use the other teleporter in the central room, too.

From the central room go through one of the middle doors to the north and find a door to the far north of the passage behind. You'll see a large coffin and in one corner of the room, buried in the dust you'll find the ring of Alkem. As soon as you pick up the ring, the coffin opens and the lich lord that lives in this crypt blocks your retreat.

It's a terrible spoiler but if you cannot complete the Alchemist's Crypt with these notes then you're crap. ;-)

I think you missed the switches which activate the teleporters.

Yes, I did completely miss those switches.
Many thanks Again, friend.
Now I'll try it again!
I think you almost saved my night, now :-)

ps. I don't want to read walkthrough, because my eyes would perhaps see too much ! ;-)
Have a good night !

I was trying to convert the walkthrough given to me by Michael Böhnisch into a UHS (Ultimate Hint System) which is a tool which allows you to write questions to reveal hints. But I started in 1999 and I still have not finished!

I think I will just have to cut it up into smaller and smaller bits and eventually publish it.

Well, now my game's progressing fine, I eventually found that ring!

Once again, thanks ! Now I try to solve on my own.
It's generally my way of playing. :-)

Oh.. now I'm a little stuck in Luminor's tower...
that part seems VERY difficult..
I think it's almost impossible to defeat that damn Luminor with only Sabine and Valdyn.. :-/
any hints ?

@macce

There is some special liquid found throughout the tower you should use to weaken Luminor.

Oh and you shoukld have some more Partymembers.
At least Egil and Nelvin i recommend. With only Valdyn and Sabine you won't get it.

Flasks of ICE WATER are the way to make Luminor easier to kill. You use them to extinguish his life flame in the room three floors below (A room with a flame and a stone head). Each flask of icewater you find and use cuts down his health by 200 points. There are at least 4 flasks.

Luminor is one of those great characters which also appears in the prequal game Amberstar. Your Grandfather met him in Black Mage's Tower 75 years earlier. It's fun to see him then and see what a monster he has turned into over 75 years.

Oh, thanks for tips! All of you.
Well, I found and used just one ice water potion myself, and thought it would somehow help to defeat that luminor..

@Thalion

How could I bring Egil and Nelvin to Burnville island without any ship or teleporter ?
I have only one ring which makes it possible to swim..
Sabine and Valdyn are the only ones found in that island, I think..

Whenever I played I always swam over with the ring of sobek, the others in your party drown and you then raft back, and resurrect them for 1000 gold each via Sandra the Healer.

If you have already released them you'll have to raft back over and find them at their original locations. Nelvin has his quarters in Alkem's tower where you met him first and Selena moves to the Sylph cave.
