I finally got around to playing this. It's great fun, though I am 'stuck' on the city-scape-at-night level because I can't figure out how to jump high enough to get to the top bombs.

I may have to do a video on my YT channel for this one, it's really quite good

To jump high you need to push / hold UP first and then press the FIRE button to jump

I just found out about BombJack Beer Edition .
Great Port only problem, when i collect a power up i get graphic glitches on the Amiga600 Furia (that crazy Memory performance )

Is there something that can be done besides turn of the Fastram ?

Are you using the latest build version from July, there were lots of fixes implemented in that version that could cause this.

Other that I you would be looking at a patch for the game so someone like @jotd may be able to help you.

AAAhhhA, so there is a Final Final version

What the... Lemon Amiga & Co send you to the final version, that is final but not really final if you know what i mean

http://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=4241

Does it work ? Well, yes it does without the graphic glitches.
But, it doesnt like the Cache and Jack is a little bit stuttering to play if Cache is enabled.

If i use Furiatune NoCache (or CPU Nochache) he is Smooooth

Hmm, maybe a Whdload version would not a nad idea after all.

For now i will do a IconX Script.

Cpu NoCache >Nil:
BombJack_BEER.exe
Cpu Cache >Nil:

Greetings and Thank you Mcgeezer for this lovley port

PS:Why AGA ? it works on my A600. Does it need 2MB Chip ?

The game will work on an A500 with 1mb of ram and up (including ECS/AGA).

With the Amiga hardware which way they are now I can't possibly test every combination - hence I don't.

Thanks for the feedback! If you like that much then don't forget to give it a good vote score on Lemon!

I did not really know about Generic WHDLOAD and what id is this is awesome

1) BombJack Beer runs great with it (no need for a IconX script)
2) Generic WHDLOAD can be used instead of Degraders like Embedder,RunShit,KillAGA and stuff like that.
You know, for some tricky Demos n Stuff.

NICE !!!!!

This months issue of RG dropped through the door this morning. Nice interview! I note that you are not working on any other projects and taking a break to have a bit more time with the family...that didn't last long then...goof work on Rygar by the way!

Thanks.

Family most important.

However, the interview was done back late May. I had all of June and July off, from September 16th through October 15th I will be doing very little coding due to family and work commitments.
