Soldering Station
Anyone have any experience with these? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WEP-Solde...kAAOSwDtxdNt35
If so are they any good, reliable, etc? All my soldering gear is aimed for automotive usage such as making up motorcycle wiring looms and such, it's much too heavy for any kind of delicate work. Although I'm unlikely to work on a circuit board as my hands aren't steady enough these days, I need something that is suitable for soldering thinner and more delicate wire together or connect to a circuit board. This looks the part but thought I'd check if anyone had advice on the gadget first. |

I'm learning to solder, so, hardly an expert!
But, I bought one of these. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KATSU-852...0/282185254279 Seem to be a decent enough Hakko clone. I bought it because you can put a real Hakko core and tip in it. Which I haven't done yet, mainly because it's such a step up from the plug into the wall socket type I had before! |

Interesting, will think about that. The hot air gun could come in handy for heat shrink insulation if it turns down low enough.
