For me it seems to be the german version.

Yes, quite possibly... until the manual protection it's completely in English though.
Can someone confirm whether the in-game language after the protection is German?

The diskname is "Traders Deutsch"!!
Then its more than likely the german version.

On disk is also the file called "Texte", inside you find german texts.
In the english ADF-version is the same file, of course with english texts.

Just tried the installed WHDLoad game from SPS 1584. It is indeed the German version.
