AFAIK only SCSI on the Amiga will take care of the CPU problem. Not aware of any DMA IDE hardware. Not sure if IDE Fix Express will lower CPU usage, there was still high CPU usage on my 030 for large transfers. As before, your 060 may mean it does not have big impact, only someone with 060 and using IDE can know for sure. Unless you're trying to multitask programs accessing the hard disk while streaming/copying large files I don't think it matters. But if you go for "Ultimate" amiga then set priorities for what hardware can fit in case.

IDE always use the CPU. Small size transfers are OK. For less/no CPU charge you need SCSI.
