I'm a bit confused to say the least... it's a commercial Linux distribution that will run OS4 applications?

No it is a Linux Distro who's owner is name whoring on the AmigaOS4 brand.
He has a deal to include AROS and Amiga Forever as part of the package. IIRC the price is $115 It is not affiliated to AmigaOS in any way. This cannot run AmigaOS4x or any associated programs. |

TCD, it's more like the CUSA Commodore OS as i can read and see of the pictures, but more modern. The distribution is free of charge, but you can donate money to the project if you want.

I was a bit stumped why I'd pay 115$ when the Premium edition of Amiga Forever costs 'only' € 49.95. Then again it makes partially sense if you add the 60$ they want to see for the USB stick version.
So just to make it clear: This won't run any OS4 software and just uses FS-UAE for emulation? |

Yes TCD, it use both AROS and FS-UAE for emulation, it maybe use some converted OS4 programs under AROS emulation. If you want the ISO file, just follow the download link.

Just for everybody as blind as me: You have to click on '(Sourceforge.net)' on the download page to get to the actual download... You have to actually change the standard blogger theme to hide links that well. At least the buy options aren't that hidden
I'm not going to do it btw, since it looks like nothing special from the screenshots. Guess it's all about having a blue boing ball and that 'OS4' isn't copyrighted to give some bland Linux distro a bit of a 'special touch'. Just my 2 cent Last edited by TCD; 16 July 2013 at 10:22.
