mus. files

I am trying to make a game with reality - it only uses mus. files. In the manual it recommends using mus files produced by the AMOS club or the specific Reality music disks.

Does anyone know if it is possible to convert mod files to mus files or where there is a big selection of mus files?

This probably won't help much beyond being spuriously related trivia - but...

.mus was a type of file produced by Uncle Art (David Lowe) - highly doubtful that it's the same format as that you are looking for and I know of no converter for it.

The Amos abk creator was on one of the early Amos disks - but probably only converted mods to abk files. I guess you have that already though.

Best of luck =)

Maybe that but its only a demo.

Quote:
This is the restricted demo version of a 5DLicenceware title, created for
use with the REALITY Software Construction Kit from B.P.M.Promotions.

It allows REALITY users to load almost any music module into the program
and save it out as a REALITY .MUS file. The converter also changes sound
samples to the special format used by the REALITY software.

Very nice! I've tried it and it works! The limit in the demo version is that you can't convert mods bigger than 30kb. However, it seems that you can't have music in shoot em up games??? Can someone confirm?

Is anyone able to amend the source code to lift the limit on the file size?

Have difficulty getting the Reality music converter to work - downloaded the files from Aminet - when I try to run the programme I get the following message.

Update - Think I have got it to work - have copied files onto a blank disk - renamed disk Reality M&S Converter - seems to load now

Have attached a disk image incase anyone else wants to use this program.
Attached Files
File Type: zip realityconv.zip (290.0 KB, 229 views)

It's not an easy job to make a reality base game.
