Interesting. I have the 44pin bracket-less version which I tested in my A600.

Pretty much slower than CF, but the still faster enough for the A600. The 44pin version have a pair of jumpers to select Master/Slave/CableSelect.

got the same adapter and it doesn't work with Amigakit's 4x IDE buffered interface ! Need to know if we can hack it to choose master/slave or not ...

I have the same 44pin SD adapter but also it's jumperless. Didn't care much though since I wanted it only to test it's speed and stability.
As Rkauer said... it's slower than CF, and proved not so stable in my case (On Idefix adapter running OS4.0 along with DVD-RW it didn't work - While CF2IDE worked like a charm). As only HD it's pretty neat, but I wouldn't prefer it over CF.

Dunno if you can hack easily by cutting trace or soldering any signals around (we need some Rkauer/Zetr0/Ian advice here for that). Only bad thing is that if cutting trace is needed... this adapter is a real pain in the butt. Every track is so miniatured
