2 MB chipRAM = 4× 514400 1 MB×4 bit NEW DRAM chips. I removed the original 4× 44C256 chips. I install 4 sockets.
The trapdoor expansion became unnecessary, must not be used. The max. chipRAM 2 MB, is not expandable longer. Tested functions: Internal and external floppy, RGB and audio outputs, mouse, joystick ports. |

Normally sellers lower the price if something doesn't sell, not increase it.

Last price 100 € + 13 € shipping.
Many products are sold expensively, because rare. My product is rare. Why can I not sell it at the real price? Normal 0,5 MB 8A motherboard 67 € + min. 10 Euro shipping. http://www.ebay.de/itm/Amiga-500-Mai...-/231890366379 Normal 1 MB A500+ motherboard 60-65 €. My motherboard 2 MB, 100-110 € not too expensive. The 1 MB A500+ trapdoor chipRAM expansion expensive and rare (1 piece/month), 60-70 Euro + min. 10 Euro shipping. 1 MB motherboard (not complete A500+ machine!) + 1 MB expansion + 2 shipping = min. 145 Euro. My 2 MB motherboard 100 Euro + 13 Euro shipping only. Cheap. My motherboard original 0,5 MB version without battery+clock, battery problem impossible. I remember some of your previous posts;
When you want to buy something you want it at a knock down price. (Remember the ACA500?) Now when you sell something you want the best price. |

The 'real' price is the one that the seller and buyer can agree on. So if nobody will buy it here for €90, then increasing the price won't help. Ebay prices are usually higher than what you can expect to get here. On enthusiast sites like EAB, people know that a Rev 8A board is maybe not common, but far from rare.
If you want ebay level money for it, then perhaps try selling it there. In any case, good luck with the sale. |

price sounds fine if it was a full A500, with case, drive, keyboard, PSU and cables/mouse. But mobo alone... hmmm. But ok, if someone pays for it, I guess it's a good deal for both parties.
(note: I bought a fully working C= A1200 with all standard accessories PLUS a great working A1084S for 100€ last week, just to put things in perspective...) Last edited by dirkies; 28 April 2016 at 11:16. |

This not fun: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Amiga-500-Plu...-/111908141752
I do not give it expensively, if this was sold. Why shall I give rare things cheaply? A1200+PSU+mouse+1084S, etc. = 100 € impossible. This 2008 price. |

You can sell whatever price you think deserves it, no offense, the only thing that was remarkable here was that you were jacking up the price each time no-one was interested, which is rather odd.
And yes no joke, through an Amiga facebook forum, pickup only, WORKING A1200+1084S+all accessories (but no floppies or books, no expansion card inside, ks 3.0, and there was a dead 120MB HDD inside) for €100. Will need to pay extra for recapping it as some caps started slightly to leak. 1084S screen is perfect and stable, now used for my C64 And in the end it cost me nothing as it turned out the seller was a nostalgia collector looking after a N64 copier which I still had laying around for years doing nothing (Bung V64 in original packaging with US N64 with all extras), so we swapped it, that way no-one had to pay nothing and both were happy! Better an A1200 on my desk than an N64 in the attic ...definitely a better deal than just an A500 mobo, but sometimes you need to be lucky whether you're the seller or the buyer A few months ago I bought for $90 a rev6 A500 NTSC with 1084S NTSC from a Germany based US soldier, the A500 & 1084S looked like NEW, so white, not the slightest indication of wear or yellowing, still warranty sealed, as if they came right out of the factory!! Moreover 512KB expansion inside, external floppy drive, mouse, joystick, multiple boxed original games, few boxes of warez and all delivered in their original MINT (US) retail packaging (for monitor, floppy, joystick and of course A500, which was sold as a bundle with quite some retail software included). All I had to do was buy a step down convertor for the PSU and monitor, but these can be found cheap. At least now I can taste NTSC versions of games, and may later on mod it to PAL (oscillator swap and some jumpers) Not sure what I will do with it but it looks nice, as if it is 1988 again for me! |

Hi there amiga2000,
what folks are simply saying is that your motherboard although its not as common as the rest of the 500 series, it is not rare. You have put a lot of work into it to make it a 2 Meg version which is something to be proud of and maybe someone would be willing to pay what you are asking for it but in reality most of us are capable of doing our own upgrades and enjoy doing it for ourselves although we often need instructions on how to do things in most cases. Here in the UK we can pick up complete Amiga 500, 600 and 1200 quite often very cheaply, there are also "pick up only" sales where things go for very little so these are the sort of items that people look out for. At the end of the day Ebay would be the best place for your sale, there are still some people who may wish to pay what you are asking out there but if you haven't sold it here at the lower price, then increasing it does not make it more valuable to anyone who would have maybe been thinking about buying it. Good luck with your sale and remember ebay and Paypal also take a cut of your money. |
