Thank you, very much appreciated!

Exactly. x-key because the game features keyboard controls. The x-key is mapped as a secondary fire button. I’ve learned that the secondary fire button on some controllers does not work as a pause though. I have yet to find out the cause of this behavior.

What do you mean "DOA" - no content to be found? If yes; Please send the shop an email, and you will immediately get a replacement. Alternatively, format the USB yourself, and I will send you the content if that's what you want. Just PN me.

Now it works on Blizzard 1260/PPC060
but don't press second joypad button or the game exit with an error.
Instead use x key on keyboard to pause.
Trainer please!

Question

Att: IndiAGA-MK2 users:

My IndiAGA-ML2 keeps displaying an NTSC screen when I load up RESHOOT3 and I can’t play the game since it needs a PAL mode. How I can fix this issue as I remember going through hell to setup the MK2

I have MK2 configured in PAL 50HZ and the game starts and works normally.
Force the Pal screen by removing NTSC from Devs: Monitor

Slightly OT, but what kind of a controller are highscore runners using here? I've started off with the ArcadeR, because it's the newest I own (and has autofire hehehe) but the slop in the stick is really bothering me. I'm now using one of those old "The Arcade" dutch made joysticks which has phenomenal accuracy (but no autofire) which immediately improved my gameplay. I'm debating on wether getting a game pad is worth it or if I can get the slop out of the ArcadeR.

I must have tested about a Dozen means of controllers. Competition Pro, Honeybee pad: There are all working fine while not as intuitive as I would wish for. I found that a quality controller is key to a much easier life in RP3. I am using an A500 Mini controller as it does a good job - much better than the original CD32-pad. On MISTer I prefer to play with my fail-safe, 30y old Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad.

I'd love to play with an arcade stick. Unfortunately, the ones I tested so far are either too light or suffer from too long lever travel. The search continues.

Meanwhile, I am still thinking about developing a real convincing RP3-themed controller. If anyone has suggestions with whom to talk about this idea, bring it on!

On MiST I have a Namco PSX Arcade Stick wired to USB port with an adapter PSX > USB.
In order I played well with a VS8000 Joystick, a Competition Pro Clone but much, much better.
I think ArcadeR (https://amigastore.eu/en/919-arcader-joystick.html) is good to play RP3, but played well also with a standard INNEXT USB supernes gamepad.

We took it off because the developer says we don't have permission to.

Imho ridiculous because it's a RAM patch only without touching / spreading copyrighted material. But ask buzzybee personally for more precise informations. :-)

I guess an upcoming trained WHDload patch is just fine then?!
Strange!

Bought the physical edition,
I must say that the game is magnificent, playing it on real hardware
and on crt is the best, much smoother than you can tell from the
various videos on the web. A cool shoot em up, fun to play, graphics
of a level never seen on Amiga, very well calibrated in the difficulty
and pushes you to replay it to get the highest score. Really well done,
I recommend it to all lovers of this genre!

I also wish that people refrain from releasing trainers, so cheating for the online high-score table doesn't become too easy.

Choosing hard mode was disabled when trainer option is active, so no cheating possible.
Besides... using freezers or WinUAE Debugger is no magic, cheating has never been so easy, so simply everybody with a bit of knowledge could alter the scores if he wants to.

I'm against trainers, a game is nice to play in original state, otherwise it loses its attractiveness.

Trainers must be only for impossible games, which could be bugged or very hard.

But what may be "hard" for you can mean "easy" for somebody else. The opposite being true.
Thus I prefer to let the gamer to choose if the use of the trainer is required or not.

I am not strictly against trainers, but in this case, I don't think it needs one as everyone can playthrough with some practice. We worked hard on each and every moment of the game, to create a experience that is fun and engaging for everyone. A trainer just kills the flow and player excitement that we are striving for, using some carefully honed gameplay mechanics. Levelskip is just extralame. A relict from the past when everyone pirated ten games a day, did not care to play any of them, but still wanted to get a glimpse of what the game was all about.

What really bugs me is the total lack of common communication skills. Nowadays, in our small community: Whoever creates a trainer, should have the guts and kindness to send the developers a release note.

Feels good to know you enjoy the game so much on real hardware. The challenge with videos on YouTube is, that most are created using emulation. Unfortunately, emulators have a hard time displaying some of the game's AGA exclusive features, like 1/4 pixel horizontal scrolling and 1/4 pixel sprite positioning. Also, I notice slight framerate issues on YouTube videos regularly. That's why the game looks and plays best on real hardware - or on MISTer, as that can mimic an AGA Amiga almost perfectly.

Ah, I just love this trainer discussion nowadays. :-)
People who don't want to use it simply don't download it.
Trainers do exist since games do exist and people who have bought this game (for a very good price btw) and are not able to maneuver through 1000 enemy bullets can now see the whole content of the game which they paid for.
I could understand the developer if the trainer archive would include copyrighted content like the main file or whatever but this is not the case. My god, let the people choose if they want some bytes changed in their very own RAM disk or not.
I also developed some smaller games on our beloved platform lately and I personally would be honoured if some one had released a trainer for it, instead of this, the game was also pirated on bbs'es ... so what? Even this doesn't make me as pissed as some developers nowadays (hey Tigerskunk) are if you patch some bytes without asking for permission. What come's next? Shall I ask the developers if they want to edit my greetings list in the intro ? And as said before, the trainer even disables hard mode score cheating, a nice gesture which would have never been inserted 20 years ago, because... yes, we are a small community, that's why. A rest of the oldschool Amiga scene is still alive, live with it !
