Just tested the 2 slaves and all seems perfect to me , no more pbs in MU PLC with loading data disk and no more pbs in MU the double with buying/selling players so no more "out of memory" prb.
Well done Sting |

Hi StingRay,
Can you please support the German version of Manchester United: The Double, too? Thanks in advance! If you need the original, I can upload my version in the zone. |

i would love the german layout with english text. It would be nicer to play a lothar mattaus branded game than a man utd one.

Yep, please do so. Since I don't have the german version (otherwise it would have been supported already). |

Why does everyone seem to get their wish? Don't get me wrong I'm glad people are getting what they kindly ask for. You're so friggin' awesome StingRay!!

As these installs never made their way to the WHDLoad page, I thought I'd try to use them myself. Both give me this message: "The data/disk-files are damaged or it is an unsupported version.". I am renaming the SPS IPF files to Disk.1 and Disk.2 (didn't know which was which so I tried both), versions 1790 of PLC and 1851 of The Double. What am I doing wrong?

The "The Double" patch supports SPS 1851, the "Premier league" patch supports SPS 1790 (game) and SPS 1789 (data disk) so I assume you did something wrong. Last edited by StingRay; 22 July 2011 at 09:57. Reason: typo |

I assume so too, but I don't know what. I mean, how many ways are there to do it? You rename the files, you create an icon with a WHDLoad tool that points to the slave and that is it... weird.

Hey lolafg, thanks for putting MU The Double in the Zone for me. Strange, I used to be able to run this game, but having a few issues now.
@ Stingray - I know you're busy with the many games you've volunteered your services too, just wondering if there'll be an official install for ManU The Double? Also, I'm getting an "Invalid Memory Pointer" when trying to run the game - the error appears just after the Krisalis splash-screen, and looks more like an error from the game, rather than WHDload, ever seen this? |

...Still can't figure this one out - I uninstalled WHDLoad and re-installed the 16.8 version, (pretty sure I was running 16.8 when the game used to start okay), but no joy, same "Invalid Memory Pointer" error. Patched back to 17.1, all other games seem to run okay.
I tried using the CUSTOM setting, and booting to disk 3, and can load and edit database fine, just can't start the damn game! When I get some time, I'll try a fresh ClassicWB install on another CF Card and see what happens... |
