Amiga MIDI interface

Hi all,

Not really sure whether I should put this here (I'm completely new!) but I was recently given a MIDI interface type thing that I believe is for Amigas so I've decided to put it up on eBay this evening to see if it is still of any use before it gets thrown away. I hate to see useful things get binned so just wondering if it might be of use to anyone here?

This is the URL:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=140709553036

Thanks,

Andrew

Wow, that's again a blast from the past. I've made my fair share of tracks with that interface at the time, nice to see the interface again

You are doing very wrong reading this forum ... now you will keep it for yourself and will begin buying Amiga things instead of selling them... . Welcome!

Thanks tinofsild, arrived safe and sound. Now to figure out which ports are which.

I was planning on building a midi interface, but at 99p even if this one is knackered it was worth it for the PCB and the sockets.

What I'd like to try is using paula as a midi controlled synth/sampler operated from my PC DAW. Anyone recommend a program for this?

No need my friend, I have it right here. I placed it over this pic for you:

I been looking for this for a while to no avail. All the ones I tried are shit. Search these boards for MIDI SAMPLER and read my threads.
If I ever get my ass to it, you might see such tool from me (not synthesis though)

Thanks Akira, I'd already opened it up but that's often the first thing I do with a new gadget anyway.

I'll have a search for your other threads, sounds like a downer though.

Hurray! it works. Just had a muck around with FMsynth. Shame the author is MIA so slim chances of getting registration keys. I think there are bags of compatible patches on aminet though.

Pretty cool program, I think it precalculates all the waveforms then plays them back on up to 4 paula channels, so unfortunately only 4 note polyphony.
