EAB Multi Platform League - Round 5 - Game Vote

Voting starts now (26.04.2009) and will end next Sunday (03.05.2009) :

- Vote for five games.
- Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.
- Last rounds winner (TodaysForgotten) votes get doubled (1st = 10 pts, 2nd = 8 pts, etc.)
- Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. If you don't, then you will get the treat of a PM from me, asking you to change your vote. If you still don't change it your vote will be discounted. If you aren't sure feel free to ask.
- Edited votes will be discounted (unless you are told to edit it, and even then you can only edit the game(s) that aren't suitable) - so think before you post. Also you cannot vote for games that have already been played.

(Courtesy of Graham )

The system you can choose games from for round 5 is : Super Nintendo/Super Famicon

Gimme all your votes

All right! It's the Snes! Now we're talkin'!

Hey, if there are competitive games like SF2T, and there is a score-draw or very close to it, could we perhaps have the two potential winners duke it out in one FINAL short burst of VS -gaming?

That would be awesome to see... Kaillera-client to client! ^^

Also, what do we do with the fact that Mame and Sega Megadrive have the exact same popularity, according to the vote?

Anyways, here's my list:

1. SUPER Castlevania(!)
2. Street Fighter 2 Turbo
3. Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island
4. Axelay
5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4 - Turtles in Time

Goddamnit! There's so incredibly many good Snes-games that it's nigh impossible to even get a list that consists of "scored games good for competition" down to a minimum of five!

Damn... imagine when it's time for MAME... 0_o Impossible! Or, I suppose if we limit it to a certain machine-type, it won't be so hard at all.

Do you mean players playing over kaillera? Only thing that would potentially ruin that is since the majority of people are from england a few from germany etc. And depending on where said players are from would probably be some major lag. And if what you are saying is what i'm saying... if i happened to make it in, there's no way in hell my ping from the US would be bareable with Europe. I can barely play Tecmo Bowl with someone from Illinois without horrible lag.

Okay, who gave the second can of coffee to Predabot? You know you shouldn't do that
Just some short answers (please remember that there is the chitchat thread) : No Kaillera (TF mentioned the main reason) and MAME votes will be for all MAME games before 1997. If that means nooone will vote the same game at least the last ones winners double voting power will decide it Please post all further remarks in the chitchat thread. Thank you for your cooperation

@Predabot: There was no port of Super Street Fighter II Turbo for SNES.

There's only Street Fighter II Turbo and Super Street Fighter II - The New Challengers (without the Super combos which were introduced in SSF2T).

So you'd need to change your vote. Btw., SF2T on the SNES has better graphics and much better sound fx than SSF2 on the SNES (which has my favorite character Fei Long yet still kinda sucks).

Ooops! Sorry lads. I got a bit carried away. I'll post other stuff in the chit-chat thread.

John4P: You're right, of course. I was actually thinking about Street Fighter 2 Turbo, but for some reason I put the Super in front. 0_o Huh. SSF2T only came out for the GBA, right? That's the only SSF2T version I have played.

SSF2T was also ported to 3DO, PC (MS-DOS), Amiga (AGA) & CD32. The Amiga-versions were bad ports of the good DOS-version. The 3DO-version is arcade perfect I heard.

It's also available in anniversary collections for PS1 and PS2. And there's the HD Remix for PS3 and XBox 360.

Good choice with SF2T!

Ok, duplicating my previous vote of round 3:

3. Super R-Type
4. Super Double Dragon

Humm... checking to see if these games were not played on previous rounds... ok... checked.

Nice to see you back turrican3, but I think you have to exchange Bonk's Revenge here and notice that we will play Sunset Riders on the SNES. Hope it's clear that we play the systems after each other now

Why, thank you blade You should have a look at Actraiser 2 (even if we don't play it). It's a great game
Also I hope that we one day play Parodius...
