How to fix / debug a game launching in black screen but with sound?

Hello,

I'm new here and have already succesfully launched several games, but there is a single game (Phantasie III) that I'm unable to launch properly.

I'm running an Ubuntu 18.10., and have tried to run the same game on my other 18.10 machine as well so it does not seem to be related to hardware probably.

I've tried different videosettings on the emulator and running on on different amigas (500-4000). Also tried changing the display settings on the ubuntu but no change. Also tested different adf-files but they behave the same.

Here is the screenshot where the game ends up and the logs. I can hear the game music and it responds to the keyboard, but the screen remains blank.

What should I do to debug this further?

Any help or tips appreciated!

Disable any fast memory and see if that changes anything.

Thanks. Tried different RAM-options that earlier, but retried again. No change.

I have all the RAM-options disabled as default.

You are using the AROS ROM.
