Looks great! I wish I was there. Is it possible to buy the boards outside of the show?

They Arrived..
If you will come to Amiga34 you can now prebook/prepay your PCB to be picked up there:

ReAmiga 3000 available in Black, White and Red
ReAmiga 3000TH available in Blue.

ReAmiga 3000TH is the A3000 with all passives as original. but ZIP ram removed and replaced with SIMM sockets. (and some other changes)

ReAmiga 3000 is the same as the TH with all passives as SMD (logic still SMD!) and some other small changes.

price at Amiga34: 70eur.. outside Amiga34: 80eur.
5eur per PCB will be donated to children with cancer.

well passives is like 180eur and chipset and ICs. so it is for sure not a free project..
I have so far actually moved ICs etc from old A3000 machines (ok new passives everytime)

All the screenshots with a monitor in it show a lot of blue. Is this coincidence or is there a color problem?

So what do you need to build one of these? The PCB of course, and lots of off-the-shelf parts. Are the custom chips easily available?

generally: a broken Amiga 3000 to get some parts from:
there are lot of components that are available except some parts of the flickerfixer. you CAN get from ebay etc. but might have to fiddle with getting fake parts etc.

the main reason for the ReAmiga project IS to have a replacementpcb for a broken board, not to really "build new machines"

customchhips. well. the Amber and agnus is a real PITA to find. I WILL do a adapter so you can put an Amiga 600 agnus in it someday. (but NOT before Amiga34 as I am so megaüberstressed as it is now )

the dual 25pin female dsub for parallel and scsi is also not available. the SMD version however have a possbility to attach a IDC connector for that. (NOT tested yet I must confess!)

Excellent work!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the use of an A3640/A3660 in an A3000 require either:

a) Static Column ZIP RAM

or

b) Fast Page DRAM with RAMSEY 07/DMAC 04

Since DMAC 04 is almost impossible to find and mating RAMSEY-07 with the stock A3K DMAC-02 is an unsupported and often times unstable combo, I'm curious to know if you've run into an issues when using an A3640 type CPU board on your SIMM version of the 3000 PCB?

I know ZIP RAM isn't getting any easier to find, but if one is forced to mix a RAMSEY-07 with DMAC-02 (not recommended) so they can pair an A3640/A3660 with their new Amiga 3000 build that would be a bit of a shame.

Or perhaps the A3640/A3660 work just fine with FP DRAM and RAMSEY 04 and that was an unfounded concern from back in the day?

Cheers!
Dieter
