Bart vs the world
the game loads full into memory if 1mb is available having 512k only the game works but load constantly from disk, however no difference in gfx or sound compared to having 1mb *** please note this is valid for the original copy protected disk the cracked version works only on 1mb+ Amigas |

Tubular Worlds - ECS version runs on regular Amiga without any SFX or music. With 1 MB of Chip Ram the player gets sound effects and music.

Champion of the Raj - This one is from my own memory and is difficult to test without a real machine and original floppies, but I think at least one of the arcade sequences (possibly shooting at tigers?) is supported but almost unplayable on 512k ram. With 512k ram there seems to be constant disk loading during as the tigers leap out, resulting on jerky slow play while the the game stutters waiting for data to load in. With 1 meg it seems to load everything in to memory before the gameplay for the section begins and it is a completely different (but still boring) part of the game.

Fields of Glory require from HardDisk 1,5 MB of memory to run but:
512k+ 1 MB Slow RAM you have only 2 Zoom; 1 MB Chip RAM + 512k di Slow RAM you have 3 Zoom |

Project-X (and possibly Superfrog) can use up to 3MB to speed up loading.

I thought Turrican 3 benefits also from extra ram (it run on an unexpanded A500) but I can't remember how. Maybe just storing levels in RAM

Reporting that both Spirit and Vengence of Excalibur enhance the graphics if you have 1 Meg of Chip ram.
Basically makes the Knights less "attack of the clones" and more distinctive Last edited by Vairn; 28 September 2018 at 13:03. |

Thank you kindly for the information Vairn
From a very quick test, not only is the above shown, but there are more graphics before selecting to start or load in "Vengence of Excalibur" i.e. the moving lattice from right to left. ...looks like I'll need to update the configuration files I use. |

I think spirit of Excalibur also has extra animation in the intro too.
It adds a bit more depth to the game making knights look different. I never new about it until I loaded it on my 1200 years later, and was like wow more colours. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

F1GP (Microprose)
Box says on front, Requires 1mb free ram , no idea if it takes advantage of anything above 1mb though. Im assuming it will not run on a 512k Amiga |
