It's the c lib of each compiler. No amiga.lib involved.

I believe you are correct. The default integer only printf() is in vc.lib and a floating point replacement in every math library like mieee.lib. I believe ADis and some other disassemblers like D68k and IRA will partially disassemble .lib files which should give an idea of what it is in them (symbols and function names should show).
