Can't change base_dir on OS X Mountain Lion
Hello people,
I don't want the default directory to be in my Documents folder, so I'm trying to set an alternative directory. For some reason, though, it does not want to change. I try making an fs-uae.conf file in ~/.config/fs-uae, but it doesn't pick it up. (i did have to make the fs-uae folder though so maybe that has something to do with it) Code:
base_dir = "~/path/to/my folder/goes/here" |

Well, there's a couple of problems with your setup there:
- The quotes must be skipped, and ~ cannot be used there (this is not a shell). - If you're using FS-UAE Launcher, it won't pick up that anyway. There's a new way in FS-UAE 2.2.x which also works fine with FS-UAE Launcher, just see http://fs-uae.net/paths ("Base Directory") for more information. Also, in the upcoming 2.3.x series, there's an improved "portable mode" (at least for Windows / OS X) which may be an interesting alternative for some. Hope this helps |
