BUT, it was NOT the fault of the WHDload slave, but with the demo in general.

It did not matter if played with or without WHDLoad. Always the same result. (pretty much around 3:35-3:45 Black Screen & Freeze with a Coldboot necessary)

You have to ask Ross for the details. He fixed it

but it dosent work with the WHDload Slave. It would be necessary to make a new Slave for the Ross Fixed version,
but you also have tons of work already and i/we didnt want to bother you with even more. ( still waiting for that sweet,sweet OCS fixed Second Samurai Slave

)

You could and should have created a bug report on the Mantis tracker as I can't fix anything I don't know about.

I will fix this in the original demo, i.e. I will not make a new slave.

I had a look at the code and found quite a few blitter related bugs that can cause all sorts of weird crashes on fast machines. I will fix these and I'm sure the demo will work on your system then!

You see, i talked to Ross via PM and just mentioned that the Demo "Overdose by Delight" goes

at a certain point .

The next thing i know is that i get a message from him

"its fixed and in the Zone for you"

That was incredible of him

The Thing you said about the BlitterWaits is something that Ross also talked about; even self modifying code, if i remember correctly

The thing about Mantis is that i did not want to bother you with even more work.
Youre doing already so much for the Community and the post above is just another prove of that.

Sure much on blitter code, some rewritten IRQ handler and synced parts, but no SMC..

Well, don't be afraid to open a bug report there!

See, I only saw this thread by coincidence and now know there is a problem with the demo on your machine. If you open the reports on Mantis I can easily check them and know there is something wrong.

As for the demo, I have updated the patch and added a lot of blitter waits. Try the attached slave, if it still crashes on your system I have some other stuff left I can and will fix in the demo.

The Slave dont work for me. (and i am super happy with the Ross version already)

Right after the Text "Well, lets begin the Show with - Tubular Trip"

a Black Screen. A Coldboot is necessary.

There is something going on in this Demo. Like i said. Ross version works flawless but not with the slaves.

About the Mantis thing....
If i post about every Demo that have some weird bugs then get ready for alot of Posts

and i am not sure if i want to do that, honestly.

But we will see
