Sad but true, seems the owners of these IPs are happy to sell a few hundred of something rather than actually think what could be done, then again this has been happening since 1995

I have also read the page about the C64 MK2 Reloaded. Both look really interesting. The idea to be able to "mount" the C64 or Amiga to the need is really good. Nevertheless, even if they tend to be reassuring, I am wondering about the compatibility with the existing applications/games. |

If you're considering a new C64 mainboard, also consider this great piece of tech: https://ultimate64.com/Ultimate-64

The joystick is just that a joystick everything is built into the mini C64 inc the games etc, I fired it up with out the joystick plugged in and you have access to all the games, you just can't select anything.

You have the 2 big buttons which are Left and Right Fire, the smaller triangle buttons are L1 and R1, and the small buttons from left to right are A, B, C and Menu

Yea they said they were just sending them out with no delivery info as they were afraid of interceptions of the stock.

Can someone explain how you run additional games off USB?
Can you add covers to added games? |

No you can't currently add covers to games from USB and you can only play 1 game at a time from USB, this is supposed to change with a firmware update later on.

You can start other games, but it seems painful inconvenient.

So without the original joystick we are stuck ? Quote:
One question indeed. Long time I didn't play with a C64 but back to time joystick were only having 2 big buttons and the stick . Are the L1, R1, A, B, C useful in game ? or just to browse the menu ? Agree but don't forget that the keyboard on the C64 mini is just "to show off" so an external USB keyboard has to be used. |

The Mini comes with a Joystick anyway, but you can buy extra sticks for two player games, you can also plug in a USB Keyboard and program using Basic. I have not found more of a use for the extra buttons as of yet but I have only played a couple of games.
