Indivision AGA MK2 uses the one that carries both signals, called DVI-I, where the second I stands for "integrated".

No so confusing if you understood that there's only three types, where two each carry a subset of signals of the DVI-I connector.

Will the Indivision AGA MK2 fit in an A1200 desktop already equipped with a FastATA 1200 MK-IV?

this has been asked before, skip back two pages to look at my photos

you'll need rom risers and for best results remove the flat pin rom sockets and replace them with the round ones for better contact with the fastata

You will probably need to raise the FastATA with some ROM risers- we also stock these.

@Chris1965

Thank you for your order!

What's that product called? I've search for "riser" and "rom" but came up empty handed. Is it the "Amiga Kickstart ROM Socket"?

It's a simple socket that you put under the controller. The term "riser" hardly applies to something simple like a socket.

do all sockets stack? i'm not sure the flat pin ones would stack too well, so i guess calling the round pin ones that do "risers" helps deliniate, even if it's incorrect

I have designed the HDMI adapter board that will replace the DVI adapter board for those people that want HDMI output.

It also takes advantage of unused pins in the HDMI header that will allow users to feed their analog Left and right audio signals through the hdmi cable and breakout the audio signals at the TV end of the cable removing the need for plugging in an audio cable at the back of the Amiga itself.

It will require 2 easy pads to be soldered (L, R out at the underneath of the board). The motherboard would have to be removed in order to secure the HDMI adapter board to the motherboard (same as my previous VGA board).

If you do not want the sound portion then just use a regular HDMI cable and do not hook up the 2 wires. If people want to make their own custom HDMI cables i will provide the info. Basically pins 15, 16, and 17 will be used to carry the audio signal and the cable will have to be spliced for the audio signals to be reclaimed.

Get In!!! w00t!

when you get the prototype board sorted and working please provide pics... and for those (like me) that can't be bothered with making it ourselves, a price to buy one from you would also be awesome!

I want to ask you a thing: The Indi will start to be sent I suposse the first week of May by the resellers. I would like to know if you think you can have at least the simple HDMI solution by then... As I would like to mount it all together...

this is probably a silly question, but doesn't Paula produce a digital audio signal that can be sent down the HDMI lead? surely the output of Paula is then decoded to analogue outside the chip

It will take me about 3 weeks to have the board manufactured so in theory i could have them made b4 the MkII is released. It's just a case of how confident i am that i didn't mess up the wiring. If i make a mistake in the boards wiring then it could be a costly mistake. Once i get the connectors tomorrow i can do some testing to verify pinouts etc. Modding a HDMI cable to connect an audio cable is a 20 minute job so i am not worried about that part. I am basing my wiring on the info provided by pinouts.ru (which are normally pretty good.

Jens adapter schematic contained a wealth of info as to pin ID's etc so i'm reasonably confident. I may post a pdf of the wiring.

If someone wants to check my work then i can send them the schematic

The reason i am just using the analog outputs is its a quick simple solution that is easy to do for most people, and the adapter board needs to have a small footprint as people already have a lot of addons in their A1200s

Cost for these adapters would be about $12 Cad and a 3ft HDMI modded cable that includes the audio cables already wired would be about $8.00 if i can get more of them.

No.

HDMI's L-PCM minimum spec's are 16-bit, 32KHz and Amiga Paula Audio is usually 8-bit, 28KHz. You would have to oversample, interpolate and not-to mention extra IEC 60958 packet headers and other HDMI-stuff. Too much work.
