Where to put the whdload key

Can someone slowly explain where to put the key

Support page says

(My) Documents/FS-UAE

Is is same as

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME/FS-UAE

Or should I create folder C:USERNAME/Documents/FS-UAE

No folder is named 'Documents' on my computer right now.

(Still running XP, if you wonder)

Example please

whdload key should be inside the S: assign of your SYS: partition.

You put it in your Amiga installation. From the WHDLoad readme which came with the key:
The location for this key is variable.
WHDLoad searchs for the key in the following order:

S:
L:
DEVS:
LIBS:
PROGDIR: (the directory where WHDLoad is located)
path in environment variable KEYPATH
path in environment variable KEYFILES

Just copy the key in one of these directories.

Send a message via ICQ to Foul Send a message via MSN to Foul
And another way is to put your key in your main FS-UAE dir to be able to use it with FS-UAE Launcher..

USERNAME is an example! It's your computer name! Just put the key at the root directory where FS-UAE folder was created in your computer.

Thanks all.

Forgot to say, I use the launcher, and the last answer solved the problem.
I put it in root where launcher is.

But really don't know why support page says "(My) Documents/FS-UAE"

Outdated Documentation. I'm sure Frode will update it in due time.

Actually there is an install version and a portable version. In the latter you have to put the key in the root of the laucher.exe.
