Sure, 640x480 is fine It's just nice to not have 10+ >1000 pixel wide pictures per page, as it slows the page loading down and you have to scroll quite a bit

You mean like this?
You're using HTML instead of BBcode compatible with EAB? See below (Don't forget to remove the spaces after the [) [ url=https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/efBKqrnkgi3udI4Qc_TqJy6Kaa0xOcDx0zjWNsBXE04?feat=embedwebsite"][ img]https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-OR7e-GL5wDM/Tg4875NbPtI/AAAAAAAAA3o/1YjaSYdzeHA/s144/P1010030.JPG[ /img][ /url] |

I had a moment a couple weeks ago where I wished I could resize within bbcode... I saw it was possible...but not here. In the end, it wasn't a huge deal. Obviously, I managed ok. Just chiming in to show there is interest in this though...

We used the "Seven Skins Image Resizer 1.6" for vB 4.+ that emufan suggests, but this one is not compatible with vB 3.+
Saying that, I'm sure RCK could modify it to work, but you'd need permission from Seven Skins first iirc we set it to view at around 800px width, as most monitors are well above that size, as it keeps the image at a reasonable size without overly interfering with the threads readability. |

oh, sorry for delay.
if it's possible you may capture the external image - of any size - resize it to - lets say 640x... (preserve the aspect ratio) - with the resized image is a link to the original. |
