aMiGa EmU sCeNeRs PaRtY !!!

in the eary 90's you might be aware that Demo parties took place in mainland europe...

if a amiga emu sceners party took place would you attend !

they probably would consist of Demo comps, Music comps and such like but mainly based on emulation rather than real amiga (only because real amiga parties still happen!)

your thoughts????

If based on emulation, no thanks. Why would I want to go into a party full of PCs while I really want to see amiga content?

There's some kind of demoparty here, every year. It's a digital arts exhibition/compo. They show demos and such, and we have local compos of course. Nothing too great, but still nice to have a local thingy of this kind. Anyway, I am the only one taking an Amiga over there The little A600 is the pride of the party... It's so cute nobody fails to notice it and like it

Next year, I'll be taking my SX64 as well... oldschool to the max

I wish I could live in europe! X2001 looked like fun

Ahhh...

Akira, you're from Argentina? I never noticed...

Well, one of us will be hanging our heads low in June next year!

(p.s. That's a World Cup thing... if I've annoyed this thread, just delete my post!)

You know, i don't give a shit about footy, so I don't mind who wins or loses. I just celebrate when Brazil loses, just to annoy Shatterhand (I hope he is recovering well, haven't had any notice from him yet )

Europe IS the mother of the scene The loca lscene is quite dead, and I'm the only one with an Amiga

I know this is an old thread.. but, demo parties have never gone away! And emulation would suck, it would just be a pc party! Get a real amiga and get yourself to Fallingbostel, germany for mekkaSymposium2k2 - http://ms.demo.org. <- thats a real scene party!

Amigaboy fixed the link

"emulation would suck" ?????

emulation for alot of people is the only way than use their favourite system and games (software)

true it would be a PC party, but dedicated to AMIGA emulation....
as i mentioned in the original post, REAL amiga parties still happen, I still get alot out of REAL amiga parties

But, i think alot of members of EAB and various other Amiga emulation website visiters would like to meet up, share files and maybe construct some releases

if a AMIGA emulation party was held in the UK i would attend, only if it was a properly organized event, with advertising and enough time to book a day of work!

more comments please, Amiga parties still are a big part of the Amiga scene, and THATS what we are all talking about

Been a little too fast again, eh So put the blame on me.
But these guys could update their pages, anyway, couldn't they?
News of August '01 don't make a web page look up-to-date...
