One For The Mods

Greetings,
Many years ago I received a slightly illegal copy of EFIL 98, a collection of faults and repairs for TV / Video, which may have some info on the Commodore Monitors, I'll drag it out later and check, but apart from that, why couldn't a section be started for faults and fixes from people regarding Amiga repairs?

Call it TAIFA - The Amiga Is F*cked Again

Well, we have several stickies here that have information regarding to amiga fixes.

Anyone is free to contribute, just send your repair info to me and I'll add it to the stickies.

Not so much me, but I am wondering whether a united section for repairs, or a dedicated section?

I don't think it's worth having yet another section for that. We have .pics and .mods that are almost the same thing really.

One more section -> one more section of loosely staying on topic?

I'd prefer it if people who are so inclined would write instructions and then provide them to me to be merged to the stickies.

I know I could do it too, but I'm perpetually lazy.

How about if people suggest topics that need to be written up as instructions in this thread? You can also contribute instructions here and I'll move them into the sticky and do some cleanups if needed.

I was more talking about a proper Amiga only repairs, so for example, if someone comes along and says, I have a problem with my A1200 HDD, then they could go to A1200 and a subsection called Hard Drive, or ultimately would Magix server be a better place for this, folders and proper details? Or should I cease pissing in the wind at this point?

Hmm, ftp is probably not a good idea either. Maybe EAB Wiki?

The problem here is, it's easy to have this idea, but who writes the content?

The members via moderator, but for obscure fixes, it may save someone asking, I have a xxxxxxx with xxxxxx problem, we could direct them off to a part of the forum first, but it needs to be organised well.
