Baba Yaga
There's a small mistake in the information on the Baba Yaga page. Right now, at the very bottom, it says this:
Notes: [1] The game is very similar to Abracadabra. Baba Yaga is a witch in the game, possibly from a French fairytale, while in Abracadabra, the main role is played by a wizard called Satanicus, probably for another audience. [2] The game is part of the "Once upon a time" series. Green foliage scenes. [3] The Abracadabra WHD install also supports Baba Yaga. Baba Yaga's a witch from Russian folklore who lived in a hut with chicken legs and moved 'round, sitting in a giant mortar, pushing herself forward with a giant pestle. She's as French as poodl... ehh no, poodles're pretty French. Anyways, Baba Yaga's Russian More information 'bout her can be found here. |

Thanks very much!
Hut with chicken legs? Hmm, Otfried Preussler too uses this "hut on a chicken leg" in his children's book "Die kleine Hexe" (The Little Witch). Wonder what's the origin of this |

As far as I know, it's originally Russian. It's also used in Sierra's Quest for Glory 1, btw That evil witch in there's called Baba Yaga too, and has a hut on chicken legs.

Mm. In the story I read she had a gnarly set of metal teeth that she used to eat children with. Gaius Helen Mohiam, anyone? *giggle*
