DKB Mongoose Ram Module

I've got a DKB Mongoose and I want to buy it some RAM.

Info says that the 72 pin SIMM socket accepts 128 MB of EDO (and maybe PS/2) Ram. I am looking for a 32MB module.

The Ram I find on ebay is
- most of the time double sided
- some are with parity, some are without
- most have a timing of 60ns
- some state an organisation of 8Mx32, some state nothing.

Will all of them work? I guess most of them do, but I'm not sure.
Especially I'm not sure if it's better to choose with or without parity.

I'm using a double Sided 32Mb Simm in my Mongoose without issue.

I have a spare Kingston 60ns 32Mb SIMM somewhere if you're interested, though you might be better off buying on your Continent to save shipping?

Received the module today, it works absolutely fine. Card has 32MB now (and I also added a FPU a few weeks ago). Love this small upgrades

Details of the Ram for future reference or anybody else considering:
72pin Edo Ram, 5V, 60ns, Structure: 8Mx32, double sided, no parity

Edit: Looks like it's important to choose 5V and not 3.3V modules.

And THANKS for your help Kin!!

Btw, I always thought these cards are picky about Ram Modules. Looks like they are not. Also learned that 64MB modules are much more rare and pricey than 16 or 32MB.

No worries fella & glad you're sorted.

Being able to address 128Mb on a single Slot is in the same territory as the Phase 5 Blizzard Cards & DKB always liked to try & do things right.

I'll be pimping mine to 128Mb when the time is right.

Really? The 64MB Modules i see on ebay.de cost about 120€

But wait... now i see: the 128MB modules aren't so expensive, only the 64MB currently sold at ebay.de are... Hah that's interesting - current price peak.

Back in the Day of the A4000D, a 4Mb Single Sided 70ns SIMM would set you back £160.00.

@ Nightshft

Searching eBay for 128MB 72pin SIMM

I found some 128MB SIMMS in California for £18.40.

Shipping is a staggering £23.25 with an additional item costing £0.39

Are you interested in going halves on a couple of Units? - Would work out approximately £30 each plus the shipping cost for one unit from Austria to UK or vise versa.

no thanks, I'm happy with my 32MB module. Don't need more.
Good luck!

So I guess FPM Ram with parity would work too?
