Any change if you run 1.4.5b1 (in another thread) with -busywait -command line parameter?

(and you can ignore the 48000-only message, it is wrong)

It works better for the sound (it still decreases but slower than before), but the cpu is much higher (for the same demo, it was around 30-50% with winuae 1.4.4, and now it's around 80%).
The demo still runs well, with less sound problems, so it's already a great improvement for me.

I will test with more demos...

-busywait replaces more "intelligent" wait routines with simple busy loop. This test confirms problem must have something to do with power saving features.

That's quite a low spec PC your running (for today's standard & probably for XP's standard) - is it possible that may have something to do with the choppy sound!?!
