Jens have those 1200 connectors, but he is very disturbed in this subject (don't ask).

But if you feel brave, de-solder the whole thing and use one of the unused pins to replace the broken one. That is how I fixed a Mediator pass-through I have.

Another option is: buy a Mediator pass-through and use their connector.

yet another option is, solder a wire from the solder point to the mobo.

you can't change boards easily but it should work

replacing the whole connector is too much work, and might have it's dangers too...!
I would go with soldering a small cable like coze said...
also did you try it? maybe the pin broken is not used at all...

i get the dreaded red guru on bootup CPU ERROR code illegal instruction

which has been happening quite frequently, over the past few months now
my tower is now in a state o`ve, will it bootup, or wont it, and how many times before it does

i am lucky to have a bl 060 as a spare to use, until i can get this sorted

rkauer,
i have just sent jj an email,

according to amigakit, jens schoenfeld made the moulds for an upgraded cpu-slot connector 2 yrs ago, with sronger contact springs,
but never produced any ( bummer)

if i can get a connector, dimlow can solder it on for me

panick over, I have now solved my problem

thanks to rkauer`s suggestion about the med pass through

i had previously bought a new pass through,as mine was nolonger powering up my tower?

taking a closer look at my old pass through,
i noticed that 2 of the connector pins, as they came out the rear of the connector, had what looked like extra pieces on them, and why they were angled??

upon looking at my bppc, i had the same on 1 connector pin, this pin,
its not broken at all,
when you push your accelerator onto the mb, this had caught the edge of the pin and pushed it down and out the back of the connector block,

pressing it back in, & straightning it out , cured it,
normal service has resumed

plus my old pass through has been saved aswell

thank you for your suggestions,
its always the small simple things that cause the most headache`s
i am still going to source a spare connector though,

Nice to know you don't had to go to solder/flux nightmare.
