Fast switch Port 1 mouse/ gamepad?

Hello miggy lovers!

Is there a way to hotswitch the device on Port 1:

I usually have my gameports configured as Gamepads for both ports, but would love to be able to switch Port 1: device to a mouse profile, and switch it back on a hotkey.

I run WinUAE with WHDLoad, using the WinUAELoader launcher from within Maximus Arcade.

I drive Maximus Arcade with the control panel from my arcade cab, and would really love to be able to switch the controls on the fly is this is at all possible.

One (slightly complex) solution is to configure two input panel configurations (2 joysticks and joystick + mouse) and map one key/button/whatever to "Select Input Configuration #x" input target.

I second this! A hotkey to switch betbween joystick and mouse would be SWEET.
I am also using UAE in my arcade.

Do you really need a hotkey when pressing mouse (or currently any other inactive input device) button works?
