The one I use is an old 1.76 HD enclosure from Power Computing.

I need to open this one up and see who made it - I did actually mod a replacement floppy for it which works in my 1200/500's but it wouldnt work in this enclosure ... anyway I'll see what happens when my goteks arrive.

I put a Gotek in an external floppys case = No Problem
I then put that drive in my 1200 as the one it had has a prob with the disk change switch. |

Just out of more curiosity. Is the ADF run at standard or 800% as is possible on emulators?

HI Folks,
my gotek that came today is weird. I try to connect it with the "flash loader programm"... Only the message " no response "came ... I reset´d and reset´d and only the message "not supported" came up. Now, when the drive is in write mode and i power it on... Nothing. Only when i remove the "write mode" it shows "life". Is it gone ? dead, even before it started its duty on the amiga ? .... Should i send it back ? |

You will find it hit and miss, start the flash prog then plug in the usb cable ,you might have to do this a few times before the Gotek is seen by the Prog
Trust me Nibbler your Gotek is alive |

I have found that sometimes the LED display does not come on when flashing some goteks so again don't think the LED needs to come on when Flashing the firmware

Anyone else here think they'd ordered white gotek drives and get a sort of tan color instead?

Gotek Floppy emulators and Amiga computers now working together! :)
Yeah I got 5 "white" gotek drives. Oh well
That color is fine for my Amiga 500's but I wanted one for a Tandy 1000 hx and one for an a1200. |

No , nothing helps. I think its that Usb adpter thingy.
( some say, not all of them work for the gotek ) Now i found somebody that can do it. The "group of regulars" Commodore Austria. What a bunch of nice guys ! |

When buying USB to TTL adapter it's best to avoid those based on prolific controller, there are a lot of fakes out there and new drivers recognize them and refuse to work.
So far I had no issues with cp2110x based adapters. |
