Is there a way to "fix" an older g-rex1200 to have 2 DMA slots?

are there any instructions to "fix" an older g-rex1200 to have 2 DMA slots?

AFAIK it is just a matter of some forgotten lines...

You have to solder 2 wires on busboard and logicboard. Check the pictures on http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showha...gi?HARDID=1365

Come on, you can clearly see where the wires go to and from. Have you tried clicking the links for higher resolution pictures?

@doctorq

We looking at the same photo's? You dont see the whole other side of the PCI board! Who knows what goes on on that side you just see the two wires being soldered to points on one side and then dissapearing through a via to the other side.

Looking at the other photographs, I dont think that anyone can work out from the pictures which wire is which wire (both are the same colour) after they pass through the via of the Accelerator Adapter board to the other side?

You can work out which pins they are on the accelerator adapter board, but you dont know the wiring.

With the PCI board, you just dont know.

@alexh

Ehh, you have both sides of the adaptor card, and you can see how the wires are twisted, so it is easy to follow them on the other side as well.

-EDIT-

If you are talking about the busboard itself, then correct, it needs a second picture to be useable.

-END EDIT-

@keropi

If you can't make anything out of the pictures, then try contacting Amiga Center in France, he might have the information you need.

If you can work out which is which especially when they pass through the blob of glue on the "front side", you have better eyes than me

In the latest version all slots support 32bit DMA and are capable of transferring at up to 25MB/sec with 1.76GB of non bank-switching address space. Earlier models may only support DMA in the top 1 or 2 slots.
are there any g-rexes that have DMA in ALL slots????

Only GREX4000-series have DMA in all Slots.

P.S. Trust only the G-REX homepage.
