You're the one who makes painting live sessions. Sometimes I let running them. Relaxing.

Yes. Sometimes I start painting live to show how to make an old school pixel art.

This game will take a few pixel art. Some can be seen as they are drawn live.
We will also draw a character ... We will do it in the live program Amiga wave. Whoever wins will be a character in the game, specifically a sheriff's assistant in phase 3, the forest ...
Through a photo I will make the character based on the person who wins.

In the end because of lack of disk space I could not draw a character.


Some information about the game.

It is made in 16 colors, the music made in octamed by zoltar. The game has FX and music in game.

The background are made in 16x16 tiles. Some background is animated. there is also some object in the foreground. The game has some hidden secrets, soda cans with extra life and hams with extra energy.
To make the graphics the deluxe paint V was used
To mount the game use the Backbone

The game looks good: hope Red pill will improve even more because you need a better engine than backbone for those games

A curiosity: when i was in the high school me and a friend of mine were brainstorming a game based on First Blood (or Rambo, as the first movie was called in Italy) with a top down 3/4 perspective, sorta open world and several objectives like escape from jail, booby trap the woods, explore the mine, grab the weapons, etc. It would have been done on Spectrum and C64, in compiled Basic (that was what we knew how to use) and flip screen. wonder if i should consider to re-examine the project once (hopefully soon) i would be able to master Blitz or another language or even use RedPill...

The game is now out, i know however a suggestion [even if you might know already]: if you optimize palette for use the first 7 color for side characters you might have a bit more space in my opinion

So if I use the first 7 colors for the characters, is the game supposed to be better?
will occupy less on diskette?

"on paper", mean is one less bitplane and therefore i expect a little bit less RAM but i might be wrong, can anyone check this?
