Anyone had success removing old storage smell off an Amiga?

I have a 3000 that I took apart. Cleaned the case with bleach water, and had the board recapped and the board chemically cleaned. I would assume that got rid of the old musty smell, but did not. I now assume it is in the power supply. Not sure how to clean that out without damaging it. Any ideas?

Morgans games on YT had a game sent to him in an old washing powder box, months later its still smells wonderful he says

stick the case in a box and sprinkle some on , couldnt hurt lol
Probably not advisable for the PSU tho , leaking caps in the psu causing the smell ?

A blast of ozone will get rid of the old musty smell, but don't do it for too long as it also corrodes stuff.

And I'll back up that bad smells can come from bad caps, although that's more of a fishy smell than a musty smell.

I was thinking along similar lines

I have a "high grade" S-Video cable that smelled really strong after unboxing. What I did was leave it by the windows still for about a week with its connectors wrapped up in plastic in case it had rained. Still smelly after that, but mostly like any ordinary soft plastic thingy.

Either what SquawkBox said (maybe weeks), or try coffee powder. The latter can help with all kind of smells.

You may use baking soda too (sodium bicarbonate).

You want shock treatment (not suitable for electronic parts, obviously) ? Take a sturdy plastic bag (not from a trash bag roll since the latter usually are somewhat smelly), put your smelly plastic components in it, also put some cotton pads damped with essential lavender oil. Close the bag, put all that stuff in the freezer. Let it act for a day or two, most likely the smell is gone.
