Hi,

Thanks for providing the classicwb to community.

I have one thing you could include. Some time ago Cloanto released improved Amiga Forever Workbench 3.1 on floppy disks and CF card. Unfortunately ClassicWB installer recognizes
'install' floppy disk as invalid. This could be fixed in next release. Thanks!

I was wondering whether ClassicWB is still actively maintained and whether we can expect updates in the future, e.g. with latest WHDLoad etc.

An RTG version for real Amigas, would be very awesome then too. I didn't get the Picasso version to run stable enough on my A3000 with CV64.

Hi,
I have tried to download the ClassicWB UAE but there is an error 403 "You don't have permission to access /classicwb/ClassicWB_UAE_v28.zip on this server."

There is an error on the classwb site?

Thanks

Download(s) work just fine. Might be some net issues.

Try again.

Thanks for this great hdf file!

Has ClassicWB already been updated to the new, free, WHDLoad 18.2?

Are there instructions somewhere how to update to WB3.1 after installation with WB3.0 disks?

Still rocking CWB, have been for years!
God bless Bloodwych

Has anyone noticed any install issues with the new version of WB3.1 on floppy from Cloanto? It was a few weeks ago now when i tried it, and iirc it didn't think one of the disks was a valid version, i think it was Locale.

I haven't Installed CWB in a while, and I used my own 3.1 set. I'll give it a go with the Cloanto set and see.

EDIT: Just tried it with the Lite version and no errors.

Did you put the locale disk in DF1: by mistake (I've done that and wondered why it says it's not the correct disk..lol)

Running Classic WB Full for my Amiga 500 with ACA 500 + ACA 1221 and Amiga 600 with ACA 620. Also running Classic WB ADVSP for my Amiga 1200 with ACA 1233 and Indivision AGA MK2. Extremely happy with these setups and very thankful for these excellent pieces of softwares. [ Show youtube player ] on how to setup a CF card and install Classic WB was very helpful.

A big thanks to the Classic WB team and Fitzsteve for some excellent youtube videos which have been so helpful for me

Thankyou for showing us that we an now install it without it being a chore.

This new easy install method of PC Hard Drive to CF Reader to AMIGA Hard Drive is what made update packs obsolete but it seems way quicker than the old school method we had to use in the past so updates are quicker this way over using unpacking methods for Updates too.

The video gives me exactly the evidence I needed that it is ok to update my files without having to chorefully use Workbench and unpacking disks on the AMIGA side anymore to update my out of date bugger.

I need not be scared about updating with a million disks that might be broken anymore.

Colento Workbench support is maybe a method that needs to be fixed but Better Workbench support would be better than that seeing as it's a free pack of 6 improved real full set workbench disks and with being able to transfer this way now why not try copying a Better Classic WB over to the CF Card then to your Hard Drive I'd say.

Unhappy Update guide..

Hello,
this guide:
http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/instructions.htm

seems to be very outdated, even first step is
Load the now installed ClassicWB config created above.

I dont think that this file is now part of the package.

I have tried follow this guide:
https://thecakeisaliegaming.wordpres...r-retrogaming/

But after the last WB 3.1 disk, im stuck in Pleas insert volume DH1 in any drive.. There wasnt a word, about DH1 device in tutorial, i have tried add mounted folder as DH1 but is not working,
when i trying to skip that i go device or volume is not mounted error.

WinUAE 3.3.0

When i smash cancel button, i got:
cannnot create DH1:Games/0-9/9lives/igame.iff

Thanks for providing ClassicWB: I used it to get a new A1200 setup running with FS-UAE as the middle-man.

ClassicWB seems to be a nice base with lots of useful features and niceties installed from the get-go.

Cheers!

There is an error on the classicweb / downloados39.htm page. Under the thumbnail is a reference to OS39_v27. 404 Not Found to download the latest version, click on OS39. You can fix it.

Been mostly out of Amiga for 25 years, trying to get back in... Classic WB looks like a lot of hard work done well...

Issue: the download has an Instructions folder, that has an html page that take you to classicwb.abime.net, for instructions... which is where I started... and there is no link to instructions on that website... Somewhere on this forum, I saw a link to a real instructions page on that site, but I cannot discover it from navigating the site itself.

It would be nice if the instructions link was more front and center / present.

Yep I agree. An update to recognize the latest Cloanto's Workbench 3.1 Install disk would be nice.
