help with cover disks
hello people i recently got some cover disks from ebay
most of em work most of em dont,however i have a few that load to workbench then i cant seem to access them. at the minute im trying amiga format arcade issue 41 and all the files on the disk dont seem to be executable,some files show .am after them and when i click on them i get a message reading "enter command arguments" im assuming its something simple but im not up to date with doing this kind of thing heres some pics |

"mansell.am" and "install_bullfrog_files" might be executables (double click them and enter nothing for the arguments). Check for the page that describes the cover disks in the magazine too: http://amr.abime.net/issue_197_pages

if you select the file and go rmb>icon>information does it say executable? or archive? perhaps it needs to be run by a piece of software elsewhere on the disk
edit ah s2325 seems to have it nailed - i'll get my coat |

Pah, it seems to need Devpac2. (Coverdisk 39a, http://amr.rumpigs.net/amiga_format_...1992_10_d1.zip)
From KS 1.3 era, no idea if works with higher versions. Well, tried on WinUAE, runs on 1.3 config. Last edited by zipper; 03 May 2013 at 18:29. |

This is what the contents of the disk looks like.
If you can get the adf of the coverdisk onto the Amiga then you could use tsgui to write the image back to the disk. Last edited by Arnie; 20 December 2013 at 22:52. |
