Installing Workbench 3.1 on WinUAE...Stuck!

OK, I have followed the instructions, and I have a problem in this step:

http://www.lemonamiga.com/help/tutorial_1/7.php

when I click on 3) Click Proceed

I choose English as my language,

then I get this error message:

"NO DISK PRESENT in DEVICE DH0"
RETRY CANCEL

But I have created a DH0 volume in previous steps, specifically here:

http://www.lemonamiga.com/help/tutorial_1/5.php

Hard Drives
* Adding the System hard drive
1) Click Add Directory...
2) Enter DH0 as Device Name
3) Enter System as Volume Label
4) Select the Worbench 3.1 folder as Path
5) Click OK

Why do I get this error message?

Basically I can not get any further installing Workbench 3.1 on my WinUAE (A1200 configuration)

any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

If you press F12 and go to the 'Hard drives' panel, do you see a DH0 there?

Just a thought, make sure the '0' is the number '0' not the letter 'O' ?

Does it show "*" or "E" in first column? (E = error, bad path, access error etc, In this situation drive gets mounted as "no media inserted")

What Toni says: you need to select an existing Windows path. Use the "Select Directory" button below the input field.

Also make sure that WinUAE has the right to access the folder, i.e. do not store it in C:\Program Files but rather in C:\Users\Public.

it shows *
I also tried Workbench 2.1 and I get some other errors. (MKDIR, write protected, etc.)
What gives?

OK, it think I figured it all out. It was the path in the DH0, DH1, DH2 that was incorrect. Since I installed WinUAE in a non-standard folder (my D:\GAMES\ drive), it was pointing to the default path C:\... folder. I corrected that, and it worked!

Now, can I created another DH and install 2.1 and 3.9 maybe?

Thanks!

You can just make a new config, point DH0 to another folder and leave the other ones as they are. Been there, done that, it's good
