Zool vs Zool 2 (2nd time)

Okay I'm on my nice, hopefully reliable home-computer now so here is the poll I intended for y'all before. Which Zool game is better: the original or the sequel. I am voting Zool because I liked the style of the graphics better in original, and the themes especially sweet world. I don't really like the Paper/'Swan Lake'/Egypt themes of Zool 2. Please, get voting and give reasons if possible

Zool 2.

I always found the original Zool to be a good game, but overly overrated.

The sequel isn't the best platform game ever (If I made a top 10 amiga platform game, it probably wouldn't be there), but still is a solid, very good platform game, very well designed.

After I got Zool 2, I just found Zool crap

Yep, Zool 2. I enjoyed the slightly faster pace, and the option to chose different character (and changing the way to finish a level by doing that!).

The slowdown quite sucked, but on the A1200 the AGA version plays like a dream.

Zool 2 is the better game - the game just plays a lot better and has a lot more to it. The occasional slowdowns (especially on the AGA version) suck but even taking that into account, the better designed levels, better graphics and more responsive game makes it much better than the first one.

I also found the layouts of the original one too dull, long and boring - not knowing where you were supposed to end up and spartan backgrounds etc.

Is it possible that I didn't notice them because I have an 030? I remember them in teh A500 version though, they really sucked.

I voted for number two, but it's a close match...
And the sequel's sfx are slightly annoying I think.
